Student 1

This student from a school in West London was assessed with a reading age of seven years prior to commencing the Thinking Reading programme. She improved by seven years from November 2018 to September 2019, when she was assessed as reading at 14 years on an unseen test of graded prose, and on the standardised New Group Reading Test.

Student 2

After beginning the Thinking Reading programme in January 2019 with an assessed reading level of 7 years, Student 2 graduated in September 2019 reading at a 14-year-old level. The student’s score on unseen graded prose was confirmed by his score on the standardised New Group Reading Test.

Student 3

Assessed as reading at 7.5 years before commencing the Thinking Reading programme in October 2018, Student 3 progressed to reading at 15 years in October 2019. Her score on reading of unseen graded prose was subsequently confirmed by her score on the standardised New Group Reading Test.
